In the field of its activity the Department is working on research, development and application of special and conventional casting technologies.

The researches are concentrated on relations of structure-characteristics-technological parameters during different casting processes as well as its modeling and optimization.

Simultaneously the department carries out wide range of engineering and applied activities in the field of development and improvement of the casting methods and the machines and equipment for their realization, as well as in processes of creating new materials and their application.
